The identification of product types according to Act No. 133/2013 Coll. is carried out by the institute as an authorized body SK04 if the products:

• Fall under Slovak technical standards (STN) designated for parameter assessment
• Require assessment and verification of constancy of performance by System III
• And the institute is authorized as a testing laboratory for the relevant product groups (scope of authorization on the website of the MD SR).

The authorized laboratory assesses the parameters based on tests conducted on product samples provided by the manufacturer and sends the test report(s) to the manufacturer. If, in accordance with the designated standard and with the manufacturer's consent, the test for a particular property was replaced by calculations or evaluation based on tabulated values, the authorized body issues a calculation report or a report on evaluation based on tabulated values.

The manufacturer submits a request in the form of an application (downloadable form) and after the contract is concluded, the authorized body performs the required tests and so on.
