The institute conducts testing of building structures primarily as an accredited testing laboratory. This includes mainly static and dynamic load tests on bridges before they are put into operation. Testing of other structures, as well as static and dynamic calculations, are carried out either to verify their load-bearing capacity or as part of comprehensive diagnostics for structural abnormalities. The laboratory performs stress analysis using strain gauges supplemented with temperature monitoring.
The testing laboratory is accredited by SNAS (Slovak National Accreditation Service) for the testing of bridge and foundation structures, according to the scope specified in the table.
