The testing facility of the Tatranská Štrba branch, as part of the accredited testing laboratory of the institute, tests the properties of primarily the following construction products: wall surface finishes, corrosion protection of steel structures, coatings, masonry mortars, plastering mixes, floor screeds, products and systems for protection and repair of concrete structures, adhesives for cladding elements, insulation systems, sealing compounds, waterproofing and roofing membranes, geotextiles, and insulation glass.

In addition to accredited tests, the Tatranská Štrba branch, in accordance with established regulations, performs the following activities: diagnostic testing of building and structural failures, non-destructive testing, specialized in situ tests (such as thermographic measurements and determination of air permeability of buildings - Blower-Door test), and quality control inspections for issuing licenses to installers of insulation systems (ETICS), roofing systems, and fenestration elements. As part of the institute's expert organization, it issues expert opinions and expert reports.
