The branch primarily deals with the assessment of the following construction products: aggregates and loose thermal insulation materials, cement and concrete mixing water, concrete, reinforced concrete structures, fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag for concrete, mortar for masonry and plastering, binders, screed materials and floor toppings, products and systems for protection and repair of concrete structures, concrete fibers, concrete prefabricated elements such as paving blocks, tiles, and curbstones, ceiling inserts, drainage channels for ground communications, masonry and formwork elements and shapes, additional elements for masonry such as lintels, clips, ties, brackets, and steel mesh bed reinforcement, mortars and adhesives for cladding elements, suspended ceilings, gates and doors, bars, rods, welded mesh, and spatial (lattice) reinforcement for concrete, prestressed products - wires, ropes, and bars, external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), building structures and components, bridges, lifting platforms, physical factors of the living and working environment. We perform testing of building structures to verify their load-bearing capacity or as part of comprehensive diagnostics for structural failures. We are fully equipped for static and dynamic load testing of bridges.

As an accredited inspection body, we carry out activities related to granting licenses to construction companies that install contact thermal insulation systems for building insulation and companies that install expansion joint bridge closures.

Within the expert organization, we perform expert activities in the field of construction according to Act No. 382/2004 Coll. on experts, interpreters, and translators.

In the field of materials engineering, we focus primarily on research and development of cements and concretes.
