Calibration and Verification of Instruments
The capability of the institute or its metrological laboratory to perform calibrations is officially recognized by accreditation certificate No. K-018 dated December 20, 2019, issued by the Slovak National Accreditation Service. The accredited calibrations include the following working instruments:
- Vernier calipers
- Dial indicators
- Electric length sensors
- Steel measuring tapes
- Handheld laser length meters
- Force gauges, dynamometers
- Harp sieves
- Silver Schmidt concrete hardness testers
- Devices for measuring air content in fresh concrete
- Light dynamic plates
The metrological laboratory is authorized to verify designated measuring instruments according to Act No. 157/2018 Coll. on metrology and on amendments to certain laws, by decision on authorization No. UNMS/02245/2019-900/008893/2019 dated July 25, 2019, issued by the Office for Standardization, Metrology and Testing of the Slovak Republic. The authorized metrological workplace has been assigned the verification mark M75. The metrological laboratory verifies the following types of designated measuring instruments:
- Test sieves made of wire mesh, perforated sheet metal, and electroformed foil
- Force testing machines
- Tensioning devices for prestressed concrete
- Concrete hardness testers, Schmidt type
- Steel measuring tapes - metallic materialized length measures
