Certification of product performance according to the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) is carried out by the institute as a notified body No. 1301, if the following conditions apply to the products:
- They are subject to harmonized European standards (hEN) or European Technical Assessments (ETA).
- They require an assessment and verification of product performance using system 1+ or 1.
- The institute is notified for the hEN or European Assessment Documents (EAD) under which the ETA was issued (scope of notification in NANDO).
The notified body issues a certificate of product performance to the manufacturer based on:
- Assessment of the parameters of the construction product through type testing (including sampling), type calculation, tabulated values, or descriptive documentation of the product.
Note: If the ETA serves as the technical specification for the product, it is considered an assessment of the product's parameters. - Initial inspection of the production plant and the production control system.
- Continuing surveillance of the production control system and assessment of the production control system.
- In system 1+, also conducting sample tests of samples taken by the notified body for product certification at the manufacturer's production plant or storage facilities.
The process of issuing the certificate begins with the acceptance of the application (downloadable form) and continues with the conclusion of a certification agreement.
